District Govenor Visit
DG Mary Kehoe visited out club today along with Asst. Gov. Dave Cash.  We were happy to join Mary is congratulating Jeanne with her Diamond Paul Harris Pin! Jeanne has been very generous to our club and to Rotary and we appreciate it.  Mary informed us about the theme for this Rotary Year which is PEACE.  We have the opportunity to join thousands of other Rotarians in Dist 6400 and other community leaders for a Walk for Peace in Windsor on Friday September 21.  For more details visit the district website. www.district6400.com

We were also visited by former Interact President, TJ Madigan - who is now VP of the U of M Rotaract Club.  TJ got his start with Rotary through Interact as a sophomore at the Park and continued through college.  The U of M Rotaract Club has already done 2 International trips to Honduras and Guatemala  - in both places they were so pleased to find many signs of Rotary's presence through Shelter Boxes and water wells already in place.  Great to see a young Rotarian living out all he learned about international service and world peace through his work with Rotary!

Next week:  Michigan Philharmonic Music Director and Conductor Nan Washburn will share the upcoming season of the Michigan Phil.
